So, I'm done with xanga, obviously, haha.  Things have been quiet not because I'm unhappy, but because I've been so busy.  Today I officially passed Checkpoint III!  That was the last hurdle to graduation.  Haven't found a job that I want yet, but I've put in many applications and I'm hopefull.  Basically, all is well.  I miss everyone.  Call me.

It is so scary trying to find a job away from home.  It's about time to start applying for teaching jobs.  Kansas City is my first choice of location, since I semi-know my way around, and I have friends there.  But who knows what kind of school I'll end up at, or what the town will be like.  I won't even know what the good areas or bad areas are to move to!  I'm going to a teaching fair in Missouri in April...hopefully I'll come away from there with a couple of job offers.

My internship's going great.  My Geometry class had an average test grade of 80% today, which is great!

Tonight Mom ran out of mayo making buiscuts (I didn't know buiscuts even had mayo in them)...so she used horseradish sauce, haha.

Dad's doing great after surgery.  Feeling a million times better already.

Only 2 more months of Lowe's...and February's short!!

Hope to see you all soon.

Well, I'm back from Indiana and Christmas with my family.  I'm really glad we got to go, despite a few less-than-desirable moments.  I haven't had Christmas with my parents and sister yet, we're doing that Wed morning, but I already have too many favorite things to list.  At one point, we had 21 people and 2 dogs in my grandparents house (Christmas Eve)!  We got to take Katie, and some of our cousins brought their dog, Casey.  My cousin's the Louisville Cardinal.  I got the "Lovely" perfume I wanted, as well as the "Sex and the City" book.  My dad almost gave us an XBOX 360, because he bought it as an impulse purchase (who spends $500 on an impulse purchase?  Haha.)  But it really was alot to spend, when we don't even game all that much.  I figure that with the Christmas money he's giving us instead, I'll get one of the old XBOX's, which will be just as good for me.  That's abt it for now...hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Today was a wonderful day.

First, I got up bright and early to have breakfast with a friend, but he cancelled b/c he's sick.  This isn't part of the good day.  But, since I had extra hours on my hands, I got to make myself some tea and finish a book I'd been reading.

Then, I went to have a "Day of Beauty" with my sister.  We got manicures, pedicures, and facials.  Very fun.

After this, I went and met with the people I'm doing my full internship with.  I cannot wait to start!!  The teacher I've got during the first half of the day is Tahlequah's Teacher of the Year, and was a finalist for the state's teacher of the year award.  One of his winnings was a Smartboard...I am so looking forward to using it (yeah, I'm a bit of a nerd...).  The teacher I'm with in the afternoon is pregnant, so she'll be leaving me her classes in April! (This is a cool thing.)

Next, my sister and I had lunch together before she had to go to work, which is always enjoyable.

Once Molly was on her way, I went and visited with a gentleman in town who's opening a coffee shop...AND WANTS ME AS THE MANAGER!  So, since it isn't really done yet, I'm getting to help design it...I'm pretty much the main voice in decorating, and so many other things!!  This is a super excellent thing for me, as I've always wanted to work in a coffee shop, or own one, and this is the best of both worlds!!

Then I went to work, and did something that I was proud of myself for.

I got off at 9, and went to a friend's to watch some episodes of our show, which was very fun, and got to give a Christmas present which I think was loved.

So then I decided I'd better check my semester grades.  This was my last semester of real classes.  I had 2 cake classes that I was sure I was going to get A's in (which I did), an actual math class that I knew I was probably going to get a B in (and I did), then my senior seminar class that I was PRAYING for a C in...but I got an A!!!  I could not believe that one.  Based on what I know of my grade...there must have been some serious curving involved.

Also in good news, I passed the OPTI.  I'm done with teacher tests.  I attempted the Physics one, but the questions on it just came out of the blue...I didn't pass, but I didn't fail horribly...I may try it again, who knows.

So all in all, it's been a great day.  It's now almost midnight, however, and I signed up for an extra 9 hour shift at work tomorrow that starts @ 7AM...so that's all for now.

Dana, don't forget abt New Year's, and invite whoever you like.  I hear they want a bunch of people there.

Amanda, I'm sorry we haven't been keeping in touch so well, but I'm glad you'll be in Arkansas next semester, b/c it'll give me another chance to see you!!

Courtney...it's been too long!!  Attentionwhore just isn't keeping me as updated as I'd like ;)  And it's my fault...sorry!

Adeiu.

Great CD.

It's now December.  Yesterday our dog that we've had for almost as long as I can remember had to be put to sleep.  It was a really rough day...and our little dog, Katie, just doesn't understand where her best friend went.

In other news...just one final and one paper to write and I'll be done w/ classes!

Also, I have a lead on a possible summer job...if this works out, it'll rock.

If you haven't yet, you should start watching "Numb3rs" on CBS.  It's a really good show...about MATH!!  Every week they put a couple of lessons that teachers can use for highschoolers online from each episode.  I'm keeping them all, getting the DVDs, and using them in my classroom :)

And I got Christmas off for SURE!  I'll get to go to Indiana with all of my family.  Cannot wait.

I suppose that's abt it for now.  I'm sorry to those of you who I haven't been keeping in touch with well.  It's just so hard right now...don't take it personally.
